Hardware Acceleration
What is hardware acceleration?

Hardware acceleration, as its name implies, refers to the use of computer hardware to improve task execution efficiency and get jobs done at a faster speed than that in a software program running on a general-purpose CPU. Usually, when it comes to hardware acceleration, it means CPU and GPU hardware acceleration for video decoding and encoding. A typical example of CPU hardware acceleration is Intel Quick Sync Video and the representatives of GPU acceleration include Nvidia CUDA, Nvidia NVENC, AMD APP, and more.

When should I use hardware acceleration?

You can choose to turn on hardware acceleration when you need to do graphically intensive tasks like processing 4K UHD videos, encoding H.264 clips, etc. Additionally, ensure you have modern graphics card drivers, video cards, and the latest versions of applications to avoid compatibility issues.

Why is hardware acceleration not working on my computer?

LosslessRec can automatically detect your hardware information. If you prefer to check it manually, go to "Settings" at the top-right corner of the software interface. This will show whether your computer has the necessary configuration to use Hardware Acceleration.

Additionally, if hardware acceleration is not working on your computer, consider the following steps:
Check Codec Compatibility: Ensure you have selected the correct video codec. LosslessAI supports hardware acceleration for H264 and XVID codecs.
Uncheck "Auto Copy": Auto Copy is available under some features, such as video converting. If you see this option in the interface, uncheck it.
Update GPU Drivers: Upgrade your GPU driver to the latest version to ensure compatibility and performance

2. Toolbox: remove background noise and grain from video, fix fish-eye lens distortion, and stabilize shaky video to upscale video quality.
3. Parameter Settings: increase video resolution from 480p to 720p, 720p to 1080p, 1080p to 4K 2160p, 4K to 8K UHD; upscale video frame rate from 24/30FPS to 60/120FPS and adjust video bit rate to higher level.

What is the difference between the free trial and full version?

The two do have the same recording performance. But with full version, you can enjoy an unlimited recording without fixed watermark, as well as some advanced features like task schedule, watermark customization etc.
